Packaged Goods for
Retail & Food Service

Peace River’s packaged goods business is made up of two lines; retail and food service. Retail consists of 12oz and 16oz composite cans, frozen and shipped to customers. Food service products are packaged and sold in plastic caddies, gable-top cartons, and bag in the box containers. These items are sold to food service providers which then distribute them to a variety of locations including hotels, restaurants, schools and nursing homes. Both lines are produced at Peace River’s facility in LaBelle, Florida.

 

Juices from Concentrate and
Not From Concentrate

Concentrate is evaporated juice that is then stored and sold in bulk tankers or drums, or used on the frozen retail or food service business lines. Not from concentrate is juice that is either shipped fresh to customers or pasteurized, stored and sold in bulk tankers.

 

Citrus Cattle Feed

When oranges or grapefruit are processed for juice, 45 to 60 percent of their weight remains in the form of peel, rag and seeds. These products are dried and made into pellet form for use as a diet supplement for dairy cattle.

 

Citrus Oils and Essences

We offer a complete line of natural essences and cold pressed oils that are available on a year-round basis for both U.S. and international markets. Essence oils are recovered during the concentration process of the juice and serve as key contributors to imparting the floral, fresh and juicy notes when added back to juices. For the orange in particular, the essence oil consists of an extensive portfolio of valuable flavor compounds that when used in combination with peel oil components, delivers a well-rounded and complete representation of the fruit. Peace River's oils and essences are Kosher Certified.
